Q: How do I manually upload a PDF bank statement?

If you need to upload a statement manually, follow these steps:

Navigate to Bank Connection on the left-hand menu.
Click the Upload Bank Statement option on the right side of the screen.
Select the Upload Statement button.
Choose your bank from the list provided.
Drag and drop your PDF statement into the upload area.
Click Upload to finish the process.

Q: How do I manually upload a CSV or Excel bank statement?

To upload transaction data using a spreadsheet:

Navigate to Bank Connection on the left-hand menu.
Click the Upload Bank Statement option on the right side.
Choose your bank from the list.
Important: Click Download Template to get the correct CSV format.
Edit your bank data to match the downloaded template exactly.
Click Upload, then save and review your transactions.

Q: My bank connection isn't showing all my transactions. Why?

If transactions are missing, check the following: Wait 24 Hours: The initial import can take up to 24 hours to fetch the full history (Year-to-Date). Bank Limitations: Some banks only allow third-party apps to pull data from the last 60 to 90 days. If your history is cut off, you will need to manually upload PDF or CSV statements for the older periods. Tabby’s Capacity: If the bank has no limitations, Tabby can generally pull up to 24 months of history.

Tabby supports a full migration from QuickBooks Online (QBO), bringing up to three years of your financial history directly into Tabby — down to the transaction level. You'll have your chart of accounts, journal entries, and AI categorization rules ready to go from day one.

Before starting the migration, download the following four reports from QuickBooks. Each file must cover the same date range. | STEP 1: Export 4 Reports from QuickBooks

Access Reports

Log into your QuickBooks account
Go to Reports → Standard Reports

You need to export exactly 4 reports from QuickBooks: From the top section:

Balance Sheet
Profit & Loss (P&L) From the bottom (under “For Your Accountant”):
Journal
General Ledger

For Each Report:

Select the same time period for all 4 reports.
You can migrate up to 3 years of data. Example: If it’s 2026, you can migrate 2023, 2024, and 2025
Choose your accounting method (Cash or Accrual)
Click Export to Excel (top right)

How This Works for Existing Users

If you already have an active Tabby account with connected bank accounts or existing transactions, direct migration into your current account is not yet supported. We are actively building this — but in the meantime, here is the current workaround. You will create a new free subscription under the same email address as your existing Tabby account, migrate your QuickBooks data there, and then have your paid subscription transferred over. Because it is the same email, switching between accounts is seamless and your bank connections carry over automatically. ||| Important : Do not connect any bank accounts or add any transactions to the new subscription until your QuickBooks migration is fully complete.

Tabby can automatically connect to over 8,000 banks across the US, Canada and Europe. However, majority of the bank connections offered are US based banks. The list of supported banks can be found here: https://plaid.com/docs/institutions/ Tabby currently supports businesses that have operations in US. Support for other regions are coming soon.
